You cannot read one of the Apostle Paul's epistles without noticing that on every page he constantly points us toward the necessity of walking in the Spirit. He never lets up. The idea that all Christians should live their lives, down to the smallest detail, in a Spirit-led manner pervades the New Testament to such an extent that it almost overwhelms all other topics. Remember that the men who wrote the scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit. That means that, effectively, the scriptures were written by God.
