From a new series of four films from the award-winning producers of Time Life's The Bible Series is Thomas.

The revelation of Christ's birth, the grandeur of his work and the miracle of his resurrection marked the beginning of a new age, but it was the disciples of Jesus Christ, driven by their unwavering faith and love, that spread his message to the distant corners of the world. The Bible - Close to Jesus series tells the stories of four of Jesus' closest companions – Mary Magdalene, Thomas the apostle, Joseph of Nazareth and Judas, the betrayer. Directed by Raffaele Mertes (The Bible Series, Esther), each film details their personal stories, revealing Christ's extraordinary impact on their lives.

Ricky Tognazzi stars as Thomas, Maria Grazia Cucinotta (Il Postino; The World is Not Enough) and Danny (son of Anthony) Quinn as Jesus in this highly-charged and dramatic account of the events that unfold before and after the death of Christ. This fascinating film version of Thomas's life sees the impact of Jesus Christ through another pair of eyes and brings to life the fear of the apostles, their conflicts and struggles under the yoke of Roman occupation and their lives after the passing of the Messiah.
