Teenagers Steve, Carrie, Cooper, and Gameboy embark on a weekend camping trip led by their church youth group leader Stuart (Sean Astin from Lord of the Rings) and his wife Beth (Erin Bethea). Joining them is teen outsider Ashley, who is materialistic and self-involved, and whose bad attitude separates her from the rest of the group. When a confrontation occurs between Ashley and Carrie, this division widens.

Hoping for a resolution, Stuart takes the opportunity to share with the group the touching story of the Old Testament prophet Hosea and his example of true commitment and unconditional love.

    Very clever use of combine Scripture with real life. Thought provoking and so relevant in this modern context linking to historical reality.

    This was the best Christian movie I have seen. So simple and moving. It bridged to two periods (OT & modern day) perfectly. It was real and conveyed the message without religious cliches. It was the hearer of the message that was left with the option to believe or not, not forced by the one giving the message. Our fellowship loved it.
