You'll be challenged to believe more with this stirring DVD

It's finally here - this year's blockbuster adaptation of the US Smash ' Heaven is for Real' featuring an a-list cast

From the best selling true story of one boy's journey to heaven and back, the major film release of Heaven Is For Real on DVD is, without doubt, one of the most significant landmarks of Christian cinema in recent years.

By every medical criterion, three-year-old Colton Burpo died and should still be dead. Even more astounding than the story of Colton's miraculous return to a fully restored life is the vivid account of his journey to Heaven, the meeting with his long-deceased grandfather, with the baby sister he never knew and his long conversations with Jesus.

If you want a family film that proves Heaven is for real, in the innocent testimony of a child who's actually been there, then this is one of those truly must-see movies. The full-length movie release that inspired conversation and discussion in the Christian communities of all denominations is now available on this Sony backed DVD.

True to the little yellow paperback that changed the lives of millions around the world, Heaven Is For Real takes you into the world of Colton Burpo and his family as they struggle to cope with his sudden illness, and then with his devastating death and astonishing return.

But it's when Colton reveals the truth of his experience between those events that the lives of everyone around him are transformed and the transformation of a doubting world is set in motion as he describes in simple, honest, and straightforward words and images what heaven is really like.

Convinced Christians and sceptics alike will find this film by turns reassuring, revealing and deeply challenging as Colton's revelations turn his family's world upside down. Filmed with warmth and compassion, the quality and experience of the cast and the production team behind the Heaven Is For Real DVD will convince you that, in the words of Colton's father, this little boy's evidence of heaven really is 'making a difference'.

Region 2 DVD will play on UK, European, Middle Eastern, South African and Japan region DVD players.

Todd Burpo: "Is heaven a hope? Or as real as the earth and sky? I once asked my grandfather that question. And he said by the time he knew the answer, it would be too late for him to tell me. The day would come when I asked that question again, staring into the eyes of my son."

Todd Burpo: "What if you have an experience so far beyond your own experience, it's irrational. What then?"

"In the Christian community and outside of it, there have always been many conversations surrounding the questions of whether "Heaven is for Real" or not. While many do believe, they are also told that they will never see it until they die. One communities' faith and understanding become challenged by a 4 year old boy.... This movie will be the cause a lot of debate in both the religious world and also with to those who do not believe in an eternal place called Heaven. It is an entertaining film but not intended for very young children as it will likely not keep their attention for long."

Region 2 DVD (UK/Europe)

The Heaven Is For Real DVD is based on the best-selling book recounting the true story of a small-town father who must find the courage and conviction to share his son's extraordinary, life-changing experience with the world.

Starring Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets) as Todd Burpo, the real-life father whose son Colton claims to have visited Heaven during a near death experience. Colton shares the details of his amazing journey with childlike innocence and speaks matter-of-factly about things that happened before his birth... things he couldn't possibly know.

Also starring in the film is Thomas Haden Church (Best Supporting Actor, Sideways, 2004), Kelly Reilly (Flight, Calvary) and Margo Martindale.

After reading the book we bought the film thinking it would be helpful to share with families suffering terminal illness who are not good readers. The best part of this DVD is the three minute trailer summarising the story. For us, the main film is too "american," with overstated emotions, making it more like a movie than a true story.

REALLY dissappointed with this film. It's not in keeping with the message of hope and wonder that is the inspiriational theme of the book. Instead, it focuses on the father's (pastor) struggle to accept the truth about Heaven as seen through his son's eyes. As a minister & Chrisitian I found it frustrating that the amazing story in the book, which is our 'glorious hope in Christ Jesus', is effectively misconstrued in the film, leaving the the viewer to wonder 'is heaven REALLy for real'? I would NOT recommend this film be used as an evangelistic tool or be given as a gift to anyone who does not have a firm faith in Christ or understanding of the eternal hope we have. I would however, HIGHLY recommend the book, 'Heaven in for Real'!!
