Our parchment contains the correct scriptures from the Torah and was originally written by hand by a Rabbi. It was then copied by machine for use in our mezuzahs. Individual hand written parchments would be cost-prohibitive for our type of mezuzahs. In Judaism, the name of G-d is not written or spoken. On our parchments, the space for the name of G-d is blacked out rather than being written.
