This beautiful prayer journal is a joy to use, it’s not a traditional prayer journal, but more a prayer guide, it suggests a structure to your prayer life, this journal is split into four sections; starting with the Gospel section - praying over a verse that represents the gospel, and helps you to see the beauty of Jesus Christ. Within the gospel section, as well as the gospel verse prayers, there is a section to pray over hymn verses, you can write the gospel in your own words and pray over it. For the second section there is a section to pray over Gods promises. Where you can meditate on Gods promises and pray those promises over different parts of your life - or over different people in your life Next is the prayer section, where you have it split into kingdom prayers- prayers for unbelievers, prayers for the household of faith, prayers for the advancement of Christs kingdom ( where you can pray for missionaries and ministries), then the prayers for loved ones - where you can pray for individual loved ones, or a group of people- where you write verses to pray over your loved ones and on sticky notes you write the actual prayers, this way you can use this journal for years, just adding new prayers. Then there is a section to pray over yourself, where you can write verses, Gods promises and pray over yourself. The third section is God’s provisions, where you are encouraged to pray over verses that talk of Gods provision, as well as recording where God has answered prayers. The last section is resources, where there are suggested bible verses to use for all the different sections. I have found this one small journal to completely enrich my prayer life and encourage me to pray over more than my usual prayers for loved ones. This isn’t just a book that records prayer, in every section you are encouraged to pray Gods word over every section, I have found that I am praying more throughout the day and I feel closer to God. This will definitely be a journal I buy for Christian friends - it is truly beautiful and life enriching. If you want a prayer journal to record your prayers - this might not be for you. But if you want your prayer life to be enriched and to grow closer to God through meditating on scripture, this book will give you the tools and the encouragement to have a truly spirit filled prayer life!
