Alabaster Box is the fourth studio album by American singer CeCe Winans, released on October 19, 1999 on her own label WellSpring. It includes a duet with Take 6 and Gospel artist Fred Hammond took a production turn on the album. This project marks an important shift in CeCe Winan’s stylistic and vocal development. Most evident on the decidedly classic title track, Winans forsakes a trendy dated arrangement for sophisticated piano, strings, and woodwinds. The voice, which has always been impressive, is even more so here, as a new maturity broadens and adds weight to the biggest and most well-placed sound yet.Tracklist
