Mental health is much in the news at present. But many of us are still scared about it or do not know how best to respond. People with poor mental health can feel misunderstood or marginalised in church. In these two sessions Chris Munday looks at some of the issues (and a few of the misconceptions) around mental illness, how you can support those who struggle with poor mental health and how you can look after your own mental health. Chris helps us draw strength from characters and passages in the Bible which show God's steadfast love and gentle care whatever our state of mind. He tries to understand better how to walk the Christian path alongside those who long to belong but whose minds may be troubled.
