I've now listened to Emmanuel several times whilst working on our exciting Christmas offerings this year.
What a beautiful Christmas album. Packed full of your favourites, Tomlin has sought out some excellent collaborators to create fresh and at times a new take on the classics.
O Holy Night brought a tear to my eye as the stunning vocals from CeCe Winans are hard to beat. Tomlin's re-do on the traditional hymn Crown Him (Christmas) with ever popular Matt Redman takes the powerful lyrics of the hymn and adds a seasonal twist.
If you're looking for a new Christmas album for this year then I can heartily recommend Emmanuel to you, great for the car journey as you travel to your Christmas destinations, songs to bring to the congregation or maybe even for your Christmas choir.
