Max Lucado's delightful tale 'The Oak Inside The Acorn' is touching story with a message so powerful that it's impossible not to be touched by it. Adults and children alike will learn that each and every one of us is special in God's eyes and He wants us to become vessels of his love for ourselves and to others.

A wonderful story for 6's to 11's, the delightful illustrations extend the appreciation of this pictorial tale upwards as far as 12 but are still relevant to preschoolers.

Ideal for both children that need encouragement to become all that God created them to be and as a great classroom resource to teach the changing seasons of life and growth in God's natural world.

The Oak Inside the Acorn is the story of the miracle inside each of us and encouragement to become the special person God created each of us to be. It's all within you now, just waiting for you to let it grow.

The Oak Inside The Acorn and Just in Case You Ever Wonder
Just in Case You Ever WonderThe Oak Inside The Acorn

It was hard for Little Acorn to believe he would ever be a big, strong oak tree.

Soon Little Acorn grew into Little Oak. But now what was he to do? He couldn't grow oranges like the orange tree or flowers like the rose bush. He just grew and grew until he became Big Oak, and his branches were big and strong-but still he didn't know what he was to do. Then one day Big Oak found that his strong branches were just right for a very special purpose. The Oak Inside the Acorn is the story of the miracle inside each of us.

For within every child is the special person God created, just waiting to grow.

This is an excellent book showing how God uses small things to achieve great ones. Easy reading. Good illustrations. My only request would be that there would be a version involving a boy or perhaps a boy and a girl. Max Lucado's books for youngsters are quite Brilliant!

As always this author writes an engaging story about an acorn to address a child's uncertainty and fears, in this case facing up to becoming more independent and with a separate identity and destiny from its mother. A tale to be revisited many times.

A wonderful book for kids in transition from primary to secondary school or around that age. We also use it as a gift for our older post baptism children at the end of the MU 1-5 scheme. I live it!
